Ingredients
- Mutton ½ kg boiled till nearly done
- Rice ½ kg soaked for 30 minutes
- Peas ½ cup
- Oil ¾ cup
- White cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Black pepper whole 12
- Black cardamom 3
- Cinnamon 2 inch piece
- Bay leaf 1
- Brown onion ½ cup
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Salt 3 tsp
- Black pepper powder 1 ½ tsp
- Allspice 2 tsp
- Coriander leaves 2 to 3 tbsp
- Yogurt 1 ½ cup
Method
- Heat oil add cumin seeds and whole mix spices add ginger garlic paste with boiled mutton, brown onion, cook for 5 minutes add in salt, pepper, allspice, yogurt, fry for 10 minutes, cover and cook for 10 minutes add 4 cups water, add rice, cover and cook till rice done and water has been absorbed, leave it on dum for 10 minutes, serve hot with kachomber and raita.
